Our Jjimjilbang Experience

After finishing my BA in the summer, G and I traveled to Japan and Korea. It was our first time in Seoul and we had a really great trip, and one of the most exciting parts of our stay was our trip to the jjimjilbang -- the public bathhouse! It was quite different from the sento/onsen in Japan, but we loved it and if we lived in Korea we would most defintely be regular jjimjilbangers! I was too lazy to draw everything we did at the bathhouse (it had 6 floors, including many kiln saunas, a cafeteria, nap rooms, table tennis rooms, so on and so forth), but the scrub was definitely the highlight.

24/7

We just got back from our very much needed, very long holiday in Japan and Korea! We had a superawesome time and I'm already back to making poop jokes, so all is good in the world. G is definitely special somebody, seeing how is able to tolerate me for such a long period of time without a break!

I tried out some free face cream samples "for men" and it was as if I'd smeared cheap sport deodorant on my face. I don't even know what they put in it so make it smell like that, but I really hate this "manly" smell. Why can't they just make everything odorless? I really doubt anyone wants to smell that on their face all day. Blargh!

So ... part of the reasons why I was so MIA last year was because this happened!

I accidentally (I swear it was an accident!) popped the question and as shocked and flustered as he was, G said yes! After some bureaucratic hurdles and a lot of preparation, we tied the knot in Berlin. :) I think I'll be posting more wedding-related comics now and then.
