NYE Japanese style

Have an awesome New Year's Eve, however you end up spending it. And if it's not awesome...well, it's just another day.

  1. fun fact: last year I was on some Japanese New Years Music programme, that was recorded in summer (my friends band featured and we all went along to fake NYE).

Isn't the batzu game also on New Years?

    1. WHAT. THAT is crazy! bahahha! Any footage of it available?!
Batsu game...I'm not really sure, but I think it's just generally a party thing and not restricted to New Years. I think. I'm not really sure where it originally comes from either...

    2. there's a 24h batsu game, that's broadcasted on one of the big channels, it's popular even outside japan, here's a link to a bit that's quite famous over here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aVFFlS1uQk

I think the show is called Gaki No Tsukai

As the music show, I'm not sure to be honest I don't know what the show is called, I do know they show different bands from all over the world and it's shown at NYE, they made us repeat the Happy new year hugging about 3 times, because it feels so strange doing that in mid August. Ha

    3. HAHAHA. That's hilarious. I mean, it's clear that they have to pre-shoot some of the footage, but August? That's pretty ludicrous!
