Unisex
Speaking of androgynous, did you know that Nozomi is actually a unisex name? It's more common among girls than guys, but male Nozomis are not unheard of (there is also a male-only variation of the name, Nozomu). I've met a few female Nozomis in my life, but I'd kind of like to meet a male Nozomi . . . but only if he's not a dick.

Your posts are showing up earlier than I am used to. Is it because you are on Japan time?
ReplyDeleteYup! I still update around the same time (10pm-12am) but I'm on Japan time, which is 7 hours earlier than usual. I'll go back to the usual updating time when I go back to Berlin in a week!
Deletehahahah. it is pretty funny really to talk to someone with the same name. Especially if you trying phoning the person or writing email to the person.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I can imagine! I met the first female Nozomi when I was in university, but unfortunately we didn't become good enough friends to keep in touch.
DeleteThe new roomie of my former roommate has the same name as me - it's really confusing to hear her talk about her XD And in sports club when I was around 13 (I think?), 4 of us had the same first name (including the trainer) which was really strange. I appreciate that usually my name is rare enough for that not to happen...

Four of you had the same name? Geez! I think there were 3 or 4 Alexes (Alexander/ra) and about 4 variations of Kris/Chris in my last year of high school . . . I guess that must be kind of confusing/irritating.
