Oh man, the people in the US (and Canada!) are ridiculously nice! I really do miss that sometimes, and being able to make small talk with random people without worrying about the language. But yes, the Lubeckers seemed somewhat friendlier than the Berliners on the whole, at least on the surface. Yay for friendly Northern Germans!
I dare say there are "Lubeckers" almost everywhere, and that's kinda nice.
