I don't know what people hope to achieve when they touch stuff in museums when they're not supposed to, but this is what I feel like doing when I see them:
No, no... people touch things to check whether they are for real. If I meet Nelson Mandela or Pamela Anderson's boobs on the street, I would feel compelled to touch them too.
I: Yeah, you're right; that does make sense. Pamela Anderson's boobs are quite compelling, though possibly not real... (I know, I know! That wasn't the point you were making..!)
T: I once saw a guy touching "The Coronation of Napoleon" painting by David at the Versailles and I was too shocked for words. I just stood there dumbfounded, but this is what I might have done to him. You can't UNTOUCH those things! GAH!
M: It depends on the artwork! Some of the stuff like outdoor sculptures are fine (I mean, it gets rained on and stuff anyway, right?) I think, but paintings are probably a no-no. In any case, if you're going to do it, do it when I'm not looking!
C: The image of you constantly slapping your dad's hand...and then your dad sneakily trying to touch paintings when you've turned your back. HAHA

ReplyDeleteHahahahaha love the reaction of the statue when touched, and your rage. XD
