No matter how often I try to remember which one's which, I always start second guessing myself when it comes to actually using it. And end up not using it at all.

Everything looks more hardcore with an umlaut, apparently. This awesome Wiki article on the Metal Umlaut makes me want to watch This Is Spinal Tap again.
