I was all like, "Score! Free comic!" and then . . . yeah. My other dream was that I was Brett from the Flight of the Conchords and was touring with Jemaine around Australia.
i love how the comic gets flipped in the Japanese version. :) nothing can be too obscene for a comic...! thanks for the list of webcomics. I bookmarked them all but haven't had time to read them all yet. So many people out there who draw better and funnier stuff...! you ruined my self esteem. *thank you*
Iris: I'm not as brave as you are about sharing stories on my blog! But yeah...no problem about the self-esteem. Misery (and lack of colour) loves company!! :P
Is 「ブログにはちょっと...」 the Japanese version of "I was all like, "Score! Free comic!" and then . . . yeah. My other dream was that I was Brett from the Flight of the Conchords and was touring with Jemaine around Australia."???
If so, this phenomenon happens in Chinese, too. The big Harry Potter books weren't longer than 200 or so Chinese pages. :)
Ah yeah...not really. The Japanese is just a loose translation of the comic title. Although a lot of things DO get lost in translation from English to Japanese. I guess Chinese and Japanese are a lot more economical languages, eh. For example, I can tweet A LOT in Japanese but almost always feel cut off in English...
Indeed!
