New Roomie

Uwe moved out two weeks ago, and our new roomie Jane is moving in tomorrow. We might not be able to pee with the door open anymore, but we're excited about having a roommate again!

Uwe's on holiday for the first time in something like 2 years, so we get to see more of him these days. Yay!

Our roomie Uwe is so superbusy that we often go days without having seen him and I'm always left wondering about at what point I should report him as a missing person.

I am also not proud to say that the update is late today because my roomie and I were watching Alien VS Predator dubbed in German on TV. Yup.

And then afterwards we all played with the box for a good half hour. It was fun.

Finished

It's finished at last! Aside from a few finishing touches, our brand new kitchen is completely finished. It was a lot more work than I'd imagined it would be (and I guess I didn't really know what I was getting myself into), but it looks pretty flippin' sweet. And my sink is humongous! hooray!

First and foremost---congrats to the Japanese women's soccer team "Nadeshiko Japan" on their win last night! Way to kick some major ass, fair and square! They play the US in the World Cup finals on Sunday. eep!

Anywho. I'm going to visit Z and her family in Riga next week, which got me reminiscing about our roomiehood in Toronto again.
