Sauerkraut IS the pits. It's some prank food we invented to make foreigners believe that we really eat it. It's been a running gag for the last centuries.
Isn't sauerkraut basically a pickle? I don't think I've ever tasted German sauerkraut, but there's a Norwegian version of pickled cabbage that's pretty tasty. It's made with vinegar, sugar, salt and caraway seeds (which I just found out that are fruits, not seeds!).
That's what Wikipedia said. But it still looks like a seed to me. What I did was that I looked up the spice in Norwegian, and then switched to the English article to find out the English name... It's also called meridian fennel or Persian cumin.
That's an awesome dance. But seriously, sauerkraut is the pits.
ReplyDeleteWhat! Not another sauerkraut hater! Aw you guysssss!

ReplyDeleteYou sauerkraut-hating Germans! It reminds me of Japanese pickled cabbage...
DeleteAww, such a cute dance. Couple silliness, yay!
ReplyDelete(PS Dutch Sauerkraut is better because it's crunchy and not cooked to a pulp)
