LOL actually i think he pass you the wrong glass. He meant to pass you the 1 litre beer mug. I believe he has it somewhere....
Haha, I actually really have a 1 liter mug (Maßkrug)somewhere, but I hardly ever use it. I guess they are more a bavarian thing and also too heavy to use regularly. The 1/2 liter ones are definitely the standard beer mug and kitchen tool over here.
where I'm from, it's usually a 0.33 Kölschflöte :D, we still use it for measuring liquids.Back hme in UK, the same applies for Pint Glasses.
