Radler is a beer mixed with sparkling lemonade (50-50), so it doesn't reeaaaally count as alcohol, does it? Ahem. Anyway, this comic is old...because G and I have long since abandoned our alcohol-free-May challenge. So much for will power. The weather's been too nice to not sit outside for a nice, cold Bierchen.
Also, I'm sure you've noticed that I'm trying to draw myself a bit differently now. I've always worn glasses but I've been too lazy to draw them, and I'm also growing out my hair -- so yes, I'm trying something new!

Warm Beer
First bar we went to on our little bar-hopping field trip.
Translation:
"Warm or cold?"
"Who drinks warm beer?"

You can take an Asian girl out of Asia...
In some regards, I'm just Asian through and through.
Aaaaand. It's still not too late! If you're in Berlin tonight, don't miss the chance to hang out with the amazingly talented (and supercuddly/friendly!) Dirk Verschure of Dirk's Big Bunny Blog and other cool cats of the Cheese Mountain Tragedy at the Book Release Party of Dirk's Big Bunny Book! Not only that, local brewery Vagabung Brauerei will also be debuting their superstrong Caffeinated Stout made from espresso prepared by Josh Bauman of Caffeinated Toothpaste. G and I will be there too, so be there or be square!

Drinking in Public
Aaaand I'm back! 11 hours of walking in Manhattan was a little tiring today, but I got lots of sleep last night so I still had enough energy to draw a comic. Woot! Oh, and I just added a translation of G's comic yesterday... so check that out too!

Sixteen?
Technically not a Saturday post, but still a Saturday post! T'was a long day of learning how to use the tablet.
Anyway, this happened to me yesterday while buying a keg of beer at a supermarket. This is either a new high or a new low . . .

WG Parties Part 2
Continuation of WG Parties Part 1.
If I were Suse, I'd be pretty creeped out that some random person drew a comic about her.

One serving
Contrary to popular (German) belief, 500ml does not equal one serving of beer.
Mmm, beer. Germany has definitely turned me onto beer. I can finally start to understand frat boys and their obsession with beer. But only kind of. I don't understand the bit where they drink it upside down or from a tube . . . blurgh.
On a different note, I've just realized that this blog is going into its 5th month of operation. That's hugely impressive---for me, at least. And thank YOU for reading! I know the comics can be pretty lame but this is a great way for me to keep my friends up to date on what I'm doing and also to motivate myself to draw something everyday. So yes! Thanks, danke, merci, arigato!
Anywho, between October and now, my hair's grown out quite a bit. At a certain point I was actually able to pull in into a pathetic paintbrush-esque ponytail, but it also looked like a semi-girl-mullet so I cut that off.
But I've gotten used to the way I draw the hair, so I guess I'll just keep drawing it the same way. I like my hair short anyway.
Bis morgen!

Dorks are cuter.
A fun night out at the Brauerei! I really like the beer there, but I always wake up the next morning with a weird hangover. Urk. Getting over it slowly.
I think I heard from Maki that dorks were pretty much nerds without intelligence. That made me sad . . . but it's kind of true.
But I think dorks are cuter.
