Our (last!) bi-monthly appointment with our personal hair stylist aka mama. Also, I forgot to mention that my mom made her Caffeinated Toothpaste debut last week! (I was in it too!) AWESOME!

Nonsense dream

I have a habit of telling G all the uninteresting details of my nonsensical-but-not-necessarily-exciting dreams. G is very patient about it, but maybe it's about time he made me follow Stephanie's rule for talking about dreams.

Aaaaand. It's still not too late! If you're in Berlin tonight, don't miss the chance to hang out with the amazingly talented (and supercuddly/friendly!) Dirk Verschure of Dirk's Big Bunny Blog and other cool cats of the Cheese Mountain Tragedy at the Book Release Party of Dirk's Big Bunny Book! Not only that, local brewery Vagabung Brauerei will also be debuting their superstrong Caffeinated Stout made from espresso prepared by Josh Bauman of Caffeinated Toothpaste. G and I will be there too, so be there or be square!

Dirk's Big Bunny Book Party

Also! I just wanted to let everyone know that the awesomely talented bunny tamer Dirk Verschure (fer sure! badum'ch) of Dirk's Big Bunny Blog is having a party to celebrate his first ever book, aptly titled Dirk's Big Bunny Book, which is a collection of the daily bunny comics he's been drawing for over a year. The party will be at the Cheese Mountain Tragedy Studio and Gallery in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Dirk will be there, Josh (of Caffeinated Toothpaste...and the comic from Saturday!) will be there, Johan (johanpotma.com) will be there, and G and I will be there too! There will also be some locally-brewed caffeinated beer, if that's your kind of thing, 'cause it's my kind of thing. Mmmm, caffein and alcohol!

Memory Loss

Too much red wine = memory lapses. I don't remember passing out on the couch or being dragged/carried to bed at all. It always creeps me out when stuff like this happens.

ALSO! Josh drew a diary strip yesterday featuring . . . me! My Caffeinated Toothpaste debut turned out to be a stinky (but awesome!) one. Check out the comic here! It certainly helped laugh off my hangover this morning. :D

I just came back from meeting Josh, the author of Caffeinated Toothpaste,  and artist Johan at the wonderful Cheese Mountain Tragedy studio. They were both incredibly welcoming and accommodating despite my totally out-of-the-blue email. I had stumbled upon Josh's diary-style webcomic Caffeinated Toothpaste by chance a few months ago and I've been a fan ever since. I had a really awesome time talking to Josh about his favourite artists, his new book, and his experiences as an artist working up to this point. He even gave me his first book, which I read on the U-bahn on the way home...
