Mom Thing

Mama never answers her cell phone. Apparently G's mom doesn't either. Is this a mom thing?

  1. And a Dad thing. My Dad's phone is either switched off, or he won't pick up.
Calling him on landline is pointless as well.

  2. Your dad too, eh! As much as I hate to be totally-whenever-wherever reachable (I'm so glad I don't have a smart phone), I wish they'd be a little bit more reasonable and try to check their phone more than once a week. My mom also doesn't know how to check/write SMSs . . . well, I guess it doesn't matter because she doesn't check her phone anyway!

  3. The worst is though, when in return they ask why you never get in touch ...

  4. For many years my mom didn't even want to have a mobile.. Now she has one but seldom answers!

  5. I guess we're lucky enough that they have a mobile phone AT ALL. My parents finally learnt how to send texts now, and reading their puzzling broken Dutch (I can't read Chinese) is amazingly fun and cute.

  6. A: The biggest irony of it all is that my mom somehow ended up with the nicest mobile of all of us. (my dad and I both have pretty basic phone-and-sms-and-Snake Nokias, and mom's has a camera!)

T: You know what, you're right. And I should be glad my mom can use email and Skype. That's already pretty impressive.

  7. Now, if we could get my grandmother to learn how to use the fax machine....we'd almost be all set.
