Xmas Comic Part 1

Catching up on a few Christmas-related comics before the year ends! Here's part 1, based on an actual dream I had after Christmas dinner at G's parents' place...

Not that weird

Sorry for the irregular updates! I haven't quite organized my thoughts and impressions on being back in Japan for the first time in 3 years, but so far it hasn't been that strange. It also may be because I'm in a town I don't know that well (and not Tokyo) and things are a lot quieter here, but it's nice to see my parents and eat lots of Japanese food. But I do miss G and Berlin already . . . !

Matches

If you've never heard of this before, I kid you not, it works like magic. We always keep a box of matches in the bathroom and never have to buy toilet deo!

*edit*
Sorry, more precisely, I meant lighting a few matches (1-3 or so) and blowing them out!

Maputo meets Berlin

In return for the digital bonsai I gave Iris the other day, I got a present from Alex (of Stuff No One Told Me) and Iris (of Pigs in Maputo)!

That's the first digital toilet seat I've ever received, and it fits our digital butts perfectly. Thanks guys!

If you haven't already, check out their superawesome comics online:

Also, I just noticed that Iris is the only naked one in the picture. hee!

Free Bathrooms

Free public bathrooms is a serious issue that doesn't really occur to you until you really gotta go.

Fold a Crane

It's Friday! Although that doesn't really mean much to me, since I work from home...

I found this awesome toilet paper origami website some time ago, which inspired me to draw this one. This actually wasn't my idea---I read this somewhere a long time ago and thought it was brilliant.

I fear for my children.

ps. Apparently the city of Saitama makes their own cider (Japanese cider = Sprite) and they call it . . . Boncider.

Not bonsai-flavoured, though.

Saitama, you are awesome.

hungry calamari

I love reading the graffiti on public toilet walls.

Although I have to say, this one kind of creeped me out.
